Generic Instructions:

  1. Before you start your relaxation technique: watch and listen carefully. Try to find out the structure that colors, shapes and sounds form. Play to guess what will be next.
  2. When you think you are a little familiar with audiovisual dynamics, start your exercises.
  3. At this moment, your attention should be evenly divided between the audiovisual and your technique and, little by little, make the image and sound disappear in favor of your exercise.
  4. Finally, your attention will be fully on the exercise, unconsciously ignoring the audiovisual.

Technical Considerations:

If you intend to use Dhammas as a relaxation / concentration technique without the intervention of the activities described above, you can use this simple technique to mix it with Dhammas:

Attention to Breathing (Ānāpānasati)

Simplified version, in four steps, based on the "Visuddhimagga" (Buddhaghosa, 5th century):

  1. Inhale and exhale through your nose, without forcing or holding air, count one. Inhale and exhale, count 2 ... So until you complete a cycle of 10.
  2. In this cycle, the count precedes the inhalation: count one, inhale and exhale, count two, inhale and exhale, etc ...
  3. Put your attention on breathing, not counting.
  4. Locate the point on your body where the breath enters and leaves. Breathe paying attention to that particular point.

Note to the instructions of Ānāpānasati:

Titles as a "Kōans":

The titles of each of the Dhammas are created as "kōans". A "kōan" is a problem that, in the Zen tradition, is proposed by a teacher to his student. They can be used as follows:

  1. The practice of kōan, on Dhammas, is intended to be put into practice between sessions. When walking down the street, shopping, driving, etc ...
  2. At first, it is usually to try to establish the relationship between the images, the sounds and the title.
  3. Once this relationship has been decided, establish the opposite and, in turn, neither of the two and also both.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until everything is meaningless.

Access to the Dhammas:

  1. You can download the Dhamma you like, for your android phone or tablet, from Google Play , at the Store price.
  2. If you are a practitioner of a relaxation technique, meditation or mindfulness therapy, ask your school / teacher / therapist if it is:
